what we’re looking for

At Creotech, we build cutting-edge software solutions for the Space & Earth Observation (EO) industry. We develop advanced system that processes, catalogs, and delivers satellite imagery and scientific payload data to commercial partners, research institutions, and international space agencies. We are looking for a skilled and passionate Software Developer to join our Payload Data Ground Segment Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing our Payload Data Ground System (PDGS) and our modern User Access Service (UAS) platform. Our team is small and engineers are able to make real decisions. As a Software Developer in our team, you will operate at the intersection of high-performance backend pipelines and geospatial web delivery systems. You will design automated ingestion & processing workflows for satellite payload streams and construct high-availability APIs (STAC/REST) that allow users to search, filter, and stream earth observation assets seamlessly.

Your responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain innovative software solutions for satellite payload data ordering, reception, processing, archiving and distribution
Contribute to system development process across the full lifecycle
Design and prototype automated workflows for processing of raw payload data into standarized EO products (GeoTIFF, COG)
Design APIs and service communication using REST and Message Queues.
Write clean, efficient, well-documented and testable code.
Manage software engineering fundamentals, including documentation, version control, and team collaboration.
Identify and resolve bugs and issues
Deploy and monitor developed systems
