Creotech Instruments S.A., a Polish space mission integrator listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, has opened a new office in Kraków, located in the Kraków Technology Park (KPT). This is the Company’s first location outside Warsaw and, at the same time, a significant step in the implementation of its long-term development strategy, which responds to the rapidly growing portfolio of domestic and international space projects. It is also a key element of the next stage in building a strong space industry ecosystem in Kraków.

"The opening of the Kraków office marks an important step in the implementation of Creotech Instruments’ development strategy. The scale and complexity of our projects are growing rapidly, both in technological and organisational terms. Our presence in one of Poland’s most important academic and technological centres will enable us to better prepare for future satellite missions, including constellation projects, and significantly strengthen the company’s research and development capabilities. Kraków gives us access to highly qualified engineering and scientific staff and fosters cooperation with universities and the research community, which will contribute to the further development of our technologies and the company’s competitiveness in international markets."

The new location forms part of the Company’s preparations for carrying out an increasing number of advanced satellite missions, covering both Earth observation and areas beyond this sector. Since the start of the year, Creotech has commenced work on projects including those related to the identification of GNSS signal jamming from space (SAFIR-PNT) and in-orbit servicing missions (RAVEN), whilst simultaneously developing the Mikroglob and CAMILA programmes.

“The Kraków Technology Park’s acquisition of a partner such as Creotech Instruments is not merely a business decision by a single company. It is also confirmation that the ecosystem we have been consistently building is beginning to attract key market players. “Our aim is to create a place in Kraków that brings together the scientific community, engineering expertise and projects with an international reach.” - emphasises Andrzej Kulig, President of the Management Board of Kraków Technology Park.

The Kraków office will enable the Company to scale up its operational and technological activities, expand its research and development facilities, and accelerate the delivery of contracts of increasing value and complexity. Krakow, as one of Poland’s key academic and technological centres, provides favourable conditions for the further development of engineering teams and the recruitment of highly qualified specialists.

Creotech Instruments acts as a leading space systems integrator, carrying out projects in collaboration with numerous industrial and scientific partners. Its presence in Kraków facilitates the further deepening of relationships with the regional innovation ecosystem, including universities and technology companies. An example of such collaboration is the HYADES mission, carried out jointly with researchers from the Jagiellonian University.

The opening of an office at the Kraków Technology Park strengthens Creotech Instruments’ ability to scale up its operations, whilst also contributing to the further development of the regional space sector. For many years, KPT has been committed to building an environment conducive to the growth of companies in the space and deep tech sectors, supporting their internationalisation, technology transfer and cooperation with the European space sector.

KPT runs development programmes for companies in the space and dual-use sectors, supporting them in market validation, prototype development and the creation of business models. The company also actively assists in securing funding from European Space Agency programmes and is a member of the ESA Technology Broker network, supporting technology transfer between the space sector and industries outside this sector.

“Together with the City of Kraków, we are also developing the Kraków Space City initiative – a strategic project aimed at strengthening the region’s technological capabilities and building an increasingly strong position for the region within the European space technology sector.” - adds Mateusz Zurzycki, Deputy President of the Management Board of the Kraków Technology Park.

The opening of the Creotech Instruments S.A. office reinforces the role of the Kraków Technology Park as a key hub for the space sector in southern Poland, bringing together the scientific and industrial communities and raising the region’s profile within the European spacetech value chain.

The Kraków Technology Park has announced further initiatives to strengthen the space sector, both by attracting more industry players and by developing international cooperation. The opening of the Creotech Instruments office represents a significant milestone in this process and a clear signal of Kraków’s growing role on the map of the European space sector.
