Creotech Instruments, the largest Polish manufacturer of satellites, satellite systems, and components listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on October 20, 2025, with the Spanish company Satlantis, one of Europe’s leading technology firms specializing in the design and production of high-resolution advanced optical solutions for the space sector. The agreement was signed during the Poland-Spain Economic Forum in Bilbao, organized by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Madrid, the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, and the Basque Trade & Investment Agency.

The agreement signed by both parties provides for the start of talks on developing a new generation of very high-resolution Earth observation satellites using electro-optical and thermal (including infrared) technologies. The joint initiative aims to integrate the expertise and technical resources of both partners and to strengthen Polish-Spanish cooperation within ESA and EU programmes.

Cooperation with Satlantis marks a key step toward developing a new generation of European Earth observation satellites. By combining our experience in designing and building satellite platforms with Satlantis’ advanced imaging technologies, we will be able to design innovative systems that deliver exceptional imaging resolution, including in the infrared spectrum. This partnership will also strengthen Polish-Spanish collaboration in the space sector, contributing to the development of a stronger European technological capability. Our goal is not only to carry out joint projects within ESA and EU programmes, but also to develop innovative solutions that may serve as the foundation for future observation and exploration missions in Europe – says Grzegorz Brona, PhD, President of the Management Board of Creotech Instruments S.A.

Satlantis is an international technology company based in Spain, specializing in high-resolution optoelectronic payloads for small satellites, particularly those dedicated to Earth observation. The company designs and manufactures high-resolution satellite cameras for Earth observation and space exploration, offering comprehensive end-to-end solutions from hardware to software and data processing services.

The company is the creator of the innovative iSIM (Integrated Standard Imager for Microsatellites) technology, which enables the installation of advanced imaging systems on microsatellites. Its cameras cover a wide spectral range (PAN, RGB, NIR, SWIR, TIR) and are used in observational, environmental, and scientific missions worldwide.

The company operates internationally, with offices in Spain, France, and the United States.

Thanks to the signed agreement, Polish–Spanish cooperation in the space sector is entering a new stage, opening up prospects for innovative Earth observation projects of European and global significance.
