Creotech Eagleye

EagleEye

The Creotech demonstration microsatellite, designed to validate the company's proprietary HyperSat platform in orbit.

Creotech Eagleye
A demonstration microsatellite developed by Creotech Instruments for in-orbit validation of the company’s proprietary HyperSat platform. The EagleEye mission was launched in 2024. Our team conducted approximately 50% of the tests planned as part of the in-space work on the HyperSat platform. The mission ended after a few days due to communication issues.

Eagle 2.0 Platform

Built on a fully redundant, mission-ready Eagle 2.0 smallsat platform designed for demanding payloads. For more on the platform see here (link to platform site).

EagleEye

HyperSat Platform Demonstration Mission

Poland's largest Earth observation satellite at the time of launch

In-space testing of the platform’s key subsystems

The foundation of the PIAST, Mikroglob and CAMILA missions

EagleEye was the mission that marked the beginning of the HyperSat platform’s history in orbit. The satellite was launched on 16 August 2024 aboard a Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California and, at the time of launch, was Poland’s largest Earth observation satellite. Its task was to test our platform under real space conditions.

After entering orbit, Creotech’s Mission Control team stabilised the satellite, deployed the solar panels and carried out tests on most of the platform’s subsystems. The mission ended following the loss of two-way communication with the satellite. The data collected in orbit enabled us to identify areas for improvement and make changes to the design of subsequent satellites.

The experience gained from EagleEye now forms the foundation of our missions. We are utilising the solutions proven in orbit in the satellites of the PIAST, Mikroglob and CAMILA constellations, whilst the further development of the platform, HyperSat Eagle 2.0, will be used in the fourth satellite of the CAMILA programme. Each of them is better thanks to what EagleEye taught us.
