Creotech Mikroglob

Mikroglob

MikroGlob is a program to build a Satellite Earth Observation System being carried out by Creotech for the Armament Agency.

Creotech Mikroglob
In 2024, the Armaments Agency signed a contract with Creotech Instruments for the construction of four high-resolution observation satellites, based on the HyperSat platform developed in Poland. The entire constellation was placed into orbit within 21 months of the contract being signed.

Eagle 2.0 Platform

Built on a fully redundant, mission-ready Eagle 2.0 smallsat platform designed for demanding payloads.

Mission description:

Satellite Earth Observation System (SSOZ) - Mikroglob

Commissioned by: Armament Agency

Creotech's role: supplier of a complete satellite system, including the ground segment

Constellation: 4 optoelectronic microsatellites on the HyperSat platform

Status: the entire constellation in orbit 21 months after the contract was signed

Mikroglob is a programme that provides the Polish Armed Forces with their own national satellite Earth observation capabilities. Four microsatellites acquire imagery in the visible and near-infrared spectrum and transmit it to Poland. A larger number of satellites means more frequent overflights of selected areas, and thus more up-to-date data where it is most needed.

Creotech Mikroglob

Creotech Instruments supplies the entire system: satellites based on its proprietary HyperSat platform and a ground segment comprising mission control and image data processing. We are responsible for the design, manufacture, integration and commissioning of the satellites in orbit. We signed the contract with the Armaments Agency on 20 December 2024, and the last three satellites, Mikroglob-2, -3 and -4, were launched on 1 October 2026 aboard a Falcon 9 rocket as part of the Transporter-18 mission. All of them have established communication with Earth and are currently undergoing orbital testing.

Creotech Mikroglob

We are implementing the programme under a licence granted by the President of the Polish Space Agency to carry out space-related activities. Creotech was the first organisation in the country to receive such a licence under the new Space Activities Act.

The project is co-financed under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (KPO).
