National constellation of three Earth observation satellites
The HyperSat platform, designed and manufactured in Poland
Polish academia and industry in a single project
Full operational capability confirmed by images from orbit
PIAST is a Polish Earth observation satellite constellation built using domestic technologies and expertise. The project was developed as part of a program to build the country’s sovereign satellite capabilities and serves as an example of what Polish science and industry can achieve when they work together.

The consortium is led by the Military University of Technology, in collaboration with Creotech Instruments, the Space Research Center of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Łukasiewicz Research Network - Institute of Aviation, Scanway, and PCO. Creotech Instruments built three HyperSat satellite platforms and was responsible for the integration and launch of the satellites.

Our team has also developed key components of the data processing system: Payload Processors, calibration and validation tools, and the ground segment. As a result, images from orbit are delivered to users as ready-to-use products for operational applications. Images captured in 2026 over Warsaw, Madrid, Chernobyl, and Oman confirm the constellation’s full operational capability and consistent image quality.
