Creotech Instruments joins international OCEANIDS project to support sustainable marine spatial planning

Creotech Instruments is proud to be part of the international consortium implementing the OCEANIDS project (Horizon Europe, ID 101112919), which aims to develop innovative tools for climate-aware marine spatial planning and sustainable ocean governance.

The OCEANIDS project focuses on creating a Decision Support Platform that will give local authorities, planners, and stakeholders access to environmental data, climate impact assessments, and modeling tools. This will enable more informed decision-making for managing marine areas, protecting ecosystems, and promoting the development of a resilient and inclusive blue economy.

The project also emphasizes citizen engagement and participatory governance, ensuring that local communities are actively involved in shaping the future of coastal and marine areas.

Launched in December 2023 and running until July 2026, OCEANIDS is coordinated by GEOSYSTEMS HELLAS (Greece) and brings together 18 partners from across Europe, including research institutions, technology companies, and NGOs.

Creotech Instruments’ contribution includes developing key technological components of the platform and integrating satellite and geospatial data to support environmental monitoring and forecasting.
