Responsibilities:
- Leading RF systems engineering efforts in satellite projects throughout the entire system lifecycle
- Performing RF payload or RF subsystem level trade-off analyses
- Preparing and oversight of technical documentation
- Technical management of subcontractors or suppliers of RF subsystems and partners within project consortiums
Basic qualifications:
- MSc or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in RF systems engineering, preferably within the space, satellite, aerospace, or telecommunications industry
- Strong understanding of RF and microwave engineering principles, including link budgets, noise analysis, frequency planning, and RF subsystem architectures
- Experience performing system-level or subsystem-level trade-off analyses and deriving technical requirements
- Experience with RF payloads, satellite communication systems, or complex RF subsystems
- Ability to prepare, review, and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, requirements, interface documents, and test plans
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Very good English in speaking and writing
Preferred qualifications:
- Knowledge and practical experience with ECSS
- Experience participating in customer reviews, design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR), and technical decision-making processes
- Experience in working with European Space Agency, European Commission and European Defense Agency
- Demonstrated experience leading RF engineering activities in complex development projects
- Knowledge of software-defined radios (SDR) and digital signal processing (DSP)
- Experience with scripting language (Python)
- Well established understanding of systems engineering processes
- Hands-on experience in requirements definition and management using Doors-like requirements management tool
- Experience in working on systems with flight heritage (TRL 9)
